Friday Live Wire: Secret Someones and Jay Stolar @ The Red Room at Cafe 939

First, a message of full disclosure: I am friends with [a member of] the opening act (Secret Someones), so the focus here will deal mostly with their act. I enjoyed Jay Stolar‘s set immensely as well, from his enthusiasm, his message, and his excellent use of venue space. But his band’s performance other musings related to it are items I’ll save for another day– or at least one when I’m not running on an less than 12 hours of sleep in the previous two nights.

That said, both groups rocked it objectively well. They rocked it long. They rocked it hard. They rocked it ’til the cows came home and the teeth fell out of all the old man cliches that were minced together in the preceding lines.
